Stacey Croucher is a visual artist from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and is currently working and living in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from OCAD University’s BFA program, focusing in photography. Her work focuses around documenting the past and present and most often takes a scientific approach with trying to make sense of the two. Although her work sometimes focuses on the philosophical nature of existence, reason and knowledge, she is fascinated with the psychological aspects of her work. She believes that art, in any form, can be used as a therapeutic release by allowing the artist, through his or her work, to express thoughts and emotions that cannot easily be put into words.
